Over 31 million Americans complain of back pain(1). Defined as pain in the back that limits usual activities or changes your daily routine, back pain may also produce pain that radiates down the leg(2). Triggers for back pain include injury, trauma, episodic overuse, and pregnancy. Sometimes, there are actual structural issues that result in back pain such as a herniated disc or osteoporosis.
